Microsoft announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be available to play in beta on Xbox Cloud Gaming from day one. This news came alongside the revelation that Xbox Cloud Gaming will also support Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty: Warzone for Game Pass Ultimate members. All of this exciting news is set to take place on October 25th.
In a blog post, Microsoft expressed their excitement for this milestone in the Call of Duty franchise. They highlighted that players will have access to multiple Call of Duty games through Xbox Cloud Gaming for the first time. Additionally, Game Pass Ultimate members will be able to enjoy these titles on consoles, PC, mobile devices, as well as select Samsung TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Meta Quest devices.
For those on the Ultimate Game Pass tier, this means a plethora of options to experience Call of Duty games, including the highly anticipated Black Ops 6. Microsoft emphasized that this expansion of platforms will provide players with more ways to enjoy the game starting from its launch day.
Last August, Microsoft made a significant move by agreeing to sell the streaming rights for Activision Blizzard games to Ubisoft. This decision was made to ensure that Microsoft would not have exclusive control over the streaming rights for these games. As of now, there is no mention of Ubisoft’s involvement in the Call of Duty cloud gaming arrangements.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is scheduled to be released on PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
