Ubisoft has decided to delay some of its major game releases to ensure they are of the highest quality possible. The specific titles were not disclosed, but they are said to come from Ubisoft’s top franchises, including Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, Rainbow Six, The Division, and Ghost Recon. This decision follows the postponement of Assassin’s Creed Shadows for further polishing.
CEO Yves Guillemot stated that the delayed projects will now launch after the current financial year, extending into either the following year or the year after that. This move is aimed at providing the best conditions for success for these upcoming releases. Guillemot emphasized the importance of delivering strong quality in the company’s biggest productions.
In the meantime, Ubisoft has revealed some of the games slated for release this year, such as Anno 117: Pax Romana, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake, Rainbow Six Mobile, and The Division spin-off Resurgence. Additionally, there are plans for other titles to be announced later on. Assassin’s Creed Shadows will receive its first major expansion, while Rainbow Six Siege is scheduled for a significant update in June. However, there is no mention of Beyond Good & Evil 2 in the current lineup.
