The newest villain for Poppy Playtime Chapter Four has been unveiled, and it goes by the name Yarnaby. Despite its cute appearance as a yarn toy, Yarnaby is anything but cuddly. In the dark, this little doll scurries around with giant, eerie black eyes and a head that splits open, as seen in the trailer.
Yarnaby joins the ranks of other menacing villains from the series, such as Huggy Wuggy, CatNap, and Mommy Long Legs, all contributing to the eerie haunted toy factory theme of Poppy Playtime.
Developer Mob Entertainment teased the upcoming Chapter Four earlier this month, with a scheduled PC release in January of next year. Console releases are expected to follow suit. The first three chapters are now accessible on various platforms, including PlayStation and Xbox, after initially being exclusive to PC.
Exciting news for fans, as Chapter Two and Chapter Three will also be launching on Switch, mobile, and the Epic Game Store starting from October 31st. Pre-orders are already available for those eager to dive into the new chapters.
According to Seth Belanger, co-founder and CCO of Mob Entertainment, Chapter Four will delve deeper into the lore of Poppy Playtime, introducing new characters and heightened horror elements for players to navigate. The team has worked tirelessly to create a truly terrifying yet captivating experience, promising dark lore and dangerous environments that will send shivers down players’ spines.
With an emphasis on extreme horror and engaging gameplay, Chapter Four aims to be the most chilling installment in the franchise yet. Players can look forward to unraveling the mysteries of Playtime Co. while facing greater risks and more ominous scenarios.
Mob Entertainment is confident that fans will be thrilled with the latest chapter and are eager to see how players will react to the intensified terror and suspense awaiting them. As the release date approaches, the anticipation for Chapter Four of Poppy Playtime continues to build among horror game enthusiasts.
