Aspyr Media and Lucasfilm Games have announced that an enhanced version of the 2002 game Star Wars: Bounty Hunter will be available on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC in August. This updated edition will feature improved visuals and controls, along with a new skin that pays homage to the original game’s most famous easter egg.

In the recently released trailer, viewers were given a glimpse of the visual enhancements that Aspyr has made to Star Wars: Bounty Hunter. Despite these updates, the game still retains the nostalgic charm of the original PlayStation 2 and GameCube versions. This re-release comes after a limited physical run on PlayStation 4 in 2019.

For those unfamiliar with the game, Star Wars: Bounty Hunter allows players to step into the shoes of Jango Fett in a story that serves as a prequel to Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. One interesting aspect of the original game was an easter egg message that hinted at being able to play as Boba Fett after cashing in all bounties, which turned out to be untrue. However, the enhanced edition now includes a Boba Fett skin that players can unlock upon completing the game’s campaign.

The game is set to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC (via Steam) on August 1. While anticipating its release, fans can also check out a gameplay demo of another upcoming mercenary-focused Star Wars game called Star Wars Outlaws.
