If you’ve been feeling a bit bored of collecting sticks and rocks in Disney Dreamlight Valley, there’s exciting news on the horizon. Gameloft, the developer, has announced a new paid expansion called The Storybook Vale, set to launch on 20th November. This expansion will take players on a journey through Greek myths, Scottish folktales, and other enchanting stories.

The Storybook Vale is a new world within Dreamlight Valley that players can explore. This world was once suspended in the sky above Dreamlight Valley but was stolen by Maleficent and Hades, leading to chaos. Players will need to embark on a quest to find the Lorekeeper, an enchanted book holding the world together, and restore peace by collecting scattered pages.

The expansion features three distinct biomes: The Bind, inspired by dark academia and autumnal forests; Mythtopia, based on Greco-Roman culture with Mount Olympus; and Everafter, blending dark enchanted forests with Scottish and Scandinavian folklore.

The Storybook Vale will be released in two parts, with the first part introducing new villagers like Merida, Hades, and Flynn, along with new collectibles, tools, resources, and recipes. Players can catch koi fish, gather ambrosia, and befriend animal companions like owls, mini dragons, and mini winged horses.

One exciting addition is Trials, special quests inspired by fairy tales and myths that players must solve using new tools. The Royal Net captures the Lorekeeper’s pages, which transform into ancient origami creatures called Snippets. These Snippets can be assembled into tapestries and displayed in-game homes.

Furthermore, Part Two of The Storybook Vale, titled The Unwritten Realms, will see players venturing into a mysterious world beneath the Vale to solve the mystery of a missing princess, alongside Maleficent and another character.

The expansion pass for The Storybook Vale includes both parts and releases on 20th November, with various editions offering additional content like Moonstones, outfits, and companions. Additionally, free updates for the base game are planned, including new characters like Sally, themed islands, expanded building possibilities, and rotations.

Looking ahead, Gameloft has outlined a roadmap for upcoming free updates in early 2025, teasing the arrival of Aladdin, Jasmine, Alice, the Cheshire Cat, and Peter Pan in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Players can expect to embark on magical adventures, solve mysteries, and meet beloved Disney characters in the coming months.

Stay tuned for more details as these updates draw closer, and get ready to dive into a world of wonder and imagination in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
