Today marks the beginning of Diablo IV’s Season of the Infernal Hordes, bringing in new content, quests, and game balancing. However, a bug has been discovered where players are able to carry over their Legendary Tempering recipes from the previous season, giving them an unintended advantage. This bug allows players to have access to all of their Legendary Tempering recipes on level 1 characters, making leveling up much easier and faster for those who participated in the previous season, Loot Reborn.

Players have taken to the Diablo IV subreddit to discuss this bug, with some expressing their surprise and excitement over the unintentional benefit. Global community development director Adam Fletcher confirmed on Twitter that this was not part of the original design and was unintentional. However, Blizzard has decided to let this bug slide for Season 5, meaning players who have unlocked a full suite of Tempering recipes from the previous season will have an easier time progressing through the Season of the Infernal Hordes.

With this bug in place, players can focus on mastering the new horde mode bosses introduced in this season before the upcoming expansion, Diablo IV’s Vessel of Hatred, arrives in October. While this bug may not be intentional, players can take advantage of it to progress through the game more quickly and efficiently. It remains to be seen how this will impact the overall gameplay experience and whether Blizzard will address similar issues in future seasons.
