Monster Hunter Wilds has introduced new customization options for players with its first Title Update, including the ability to change Alma’s outfits and glasses. While the base game already allows players to customize their hunter, Palico, and Seikret, the addition of Alma’s customization options adds a new layer of personalization to the game. However, the process of unlocking these new styles can be a bit confusing, especially when it comes to obtaining Alma’s glasses, which are locked behind an optional quest that may leave players feeling lost.
Unlocking alternate outfit choices for Alma involves downloading them from the platform’s store, with options including the Scrivener’s Coat, New World Commission Outfit, and Spring Blossom Kimono. These outfits can be permanently unlocked through in-game purchases or by downloading them before starting a session. To change Alma’s outfit, players can visit a Support Deck Palico at one of the base camps or in the Grand Hub, access the Add-Ons section, and select the desired outfit. Players can then head to a tent, access the Appearance Menu, and choose between Alma’s default and newly downloaded outfits.
Changing Alma’s glasses requires completing the Apple of Her Eye quest, where players must search for her missing glasses in the Scarlet Forest. The quest involves interacting with various characters, following clues, and ultimately trading Eastern Honey to obtain the glasses. Once the quest is completed, players can equip Alma with her new red spectacles or a bonus set of square glasses. These glasses can also be crafted as High Rank armor for the hunter, providing useful benefits for gathering with fully leveled Geologist and Botanist skills. As more cosmetic DLC is expected to be added to Monster Hunter Wilds in the future, players can look forward to additional outfit options for Alma, although freebies may be limited.
