Activision has taken strict action against cheating in Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 by banning over 65,000 players. The bans were implemented recently to remove players who were engaging in cheating and boosting activities from both Ranked and non-Ranked play modes.

The Ricochet Anti-Cheat team, responsible for enforcing fair play, announced the removal of accounts from the Ranked Play leaderboards in Warzone and Modern Warfare 3. They have intensified their efforts against cheat vendors, resulting in a significant number of account bans in both Ranked Play and non-Ranked modes. The team has made it clear that they will continue to monitor and enforce penalties on anyone found cheating or boosting in any game mode.

While 65,000 may seem like a large number, considering the vast Call of Duty playerbase, some have expressed that they believe there could be even more cheaters present. The issue of cheating in online games continues to be a concern for players and developers alike.

In other news, Xbox Game Pass subscribers now have access to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. This addition to the subscription service includes all game modes such as the single-player campaign, multiplayer, and the popular Zombies mode. Modern Warfare 3 is only the second Activision Blizzard title to join Game Pass since Microsoft’s acquisition of the company, with Diablo 4 being the first to launch on the service earlier this year. Additionally, the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will also be available to Game Pass subscribers upon its release on October 24th.

For those interested in trying out Black Ops 6 early, a multiplayer open beta will be held in September, offering early access to eligible players, including Game Pass subscribers, one week before the official launch. This presents an exciting opportunity for fans of the Call of Duty series to experience the new title before its full release.
