Blizzard Entertainment has been teasing the arrival of Overwatch 2’s new tank hero, Hazard, through graffiti in the game’s Oasis map for quite some time now. Finally, we get a glimpse of Hazard, the 42nd hero in the game’s lineup. He belongs to the Phreaks, a rebellious group with a punk vibe that has been referenced since the game’s original trailer in 2014. Hazard is armed with a Gatling gun attachment on his hand and an injectable purple substance that allows him to unleash spikes from his back onto his enemies.
While we don’t know much about Hazard’s abilities yet, players will have the chance to test him out this weekend from November 22 to 25 before he officially joins the roster in season 14 on December 10. It will be interesting to see how Hazard’s unique kit will impact gameplay and strategy in Overwatch 2.
In addition to the introduction of Hazard, Overwatch 2 is currently hosting an Overwatch Classic event that takes players back to the original 6v6 format with the original 21 heroes and their launch kits.
