One exciting feature of the upcoming season is the early introduction of Sinistea, a teacup Pokémon with a unique twist. Sinistea has two different forms – Antique and Phony – depending on whether it comes with a stamp of authenticity. This ties in perfectly with the Dual Destiny theme of the season.
For those unfamiliar with Sinistea, it is a Ghost-type Pokémon that first appeared in Pokémon Sword and Shield. Resembling a small chipped teacup, Sinistea’s Pokédex entry reveals that it carries the soul of someone who died alone, possessing some leftover tea. When it evolves into Polteageist, its tea-based body offers a distinct flavor, but consuming too much can be fatal.
During the Dual Destiny season, players can look forward to encountering Shiny Red and Blue-striped Basculin in 7km eggs. Interestingly, the form of Basculin you receive will depend on where the gift is hatched, rather than where it was sent from. This adds a fun twist to the gameplay, especially for players in different regions.
Moreover, Gigantamax Lapras will be featured in Max Battles, offering a new challenge for players. The Go Battle League will introduce avatar items inspired by Unova Elite Four member Grimsley, adding a touch of customization to the game. Additionally, Pokémon like Dragalge, Bibarel, Gliscor, Starmie, and others will receive new moves, enhancing their battle capabilities.
