The recent update for Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero has caused quite a stir among players, especially those who main Yajirobe. The patch, which went live on October 24, has made significant changes to the game, including fixing a control scheme bug in online matches, adjusting the difficulty of certain episode matches, and enhancing overall menu performance for smoother gameplay.

One of the most notable changes in the update is the nerf to Yajirobe, whose Senzu bean ability has been toned down. Previously, Yajirobe’s quick-healing ability made him a formidable opponent in online matches. However, the update now requires six skill counts instead of five to activate the ability, and Yajirobe starts each match with zero beans instead of 2. Additionally, he has also lost half a health bar, making him less overpowered in battles.

In addition to the gameplay changes, the development team has addressed some ongoing issues, such as character rank resets, connection errors, online matching issues, and corrupted save data. The latter problem has been particularly frustrating for players on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, as hours of progress and completionist playthroughs have been wiped out without warning. While the exact cause of the corrupted save data bug remains unclear, some players speculate that it may be related to uninstalling/reinstalling the game or shutting it down at odd times. As a precaution, manual cloud saves are recommended to prevent potential data loss.

Although Bandai Namco is working on resolving the issue, it is unlikely that affected players will be able to recover their lost save data and progress. However, the developers aim to prevent future occurrences of this bug to spare other players from experiencing the same devastating loss. As the Dragon Ball community awaits further updates and patches, players are advised to take precautions to protect their game data and progress to avoid falling victim to similar issues in the future.
