In the popular game Stardew Valley, players have the opportunity to complete the Museum collection by donating rare artifacts and minerals to Gunther. Gunther, the curator of the Museum, will request donations from the player early in the game, explaining that the Museum is lacking in real artifacts. By donating one of each item to the Museum, players can complete the collection and earn a Stardrop, which permanently increases their max energy.

The Museum is open from 8am to 6pm, except during town festivals, and is located in the southeast corner of town next to the Blacksmith. Inside, players will find a large collection of books where lost books can be read, as well as a display area for new donations. Gunther will allow players to place their donations wherever they choose, with the option to move them later.

Players will receive rewards at certain milestones for donating specific numbers of items, including the key to the sewers at 60 items, a Stardrop at 95 items, and the Dwarvish Translation Guide for donating all four Dwarvish Scrolls. These rewards are beneficial but not essential for completing the Museum collection.

There are a total of 95 items to donate, divided into 53 Minerals and 42 Artifacts. Minerals can be obtained through mining, foraging, cracking open geodes at the Blacksmith, or fishing treasure chests. Artifacts, on the other hand, are more challenging to acquire and can be found by defeating monsters in the mines, using a hoe on artifact spots around town, purchasing Artifact Troves from the Desert Trader, or finding them in fishing treasure chests.

To complete the Museum collection, players are encouraged to focus on finding most of the items naturally and then target specific missing items once they have donated around 80 items. Since many of the items have a low probability of appearing, acquiring them often comes down to luck.

For more detailed information on the probabilities of each individual item, players can refer to the Stardew Valley Wiki pages for Minerals and Artifacts. By following these tips and strategies, players can efficiently complete the Museum collection in Stardew Valley and reap the rewards offered by Gunther.
