A new animated series aimed at older fans of Batman, titled Batman: Caped Crusader, is set to premiere soon on Prime Video. Originally ordered by Max, the series was rescued from cancelation and is now being executive produced by Bruce Timm, known for his work on Batman: The Animated Series. The series is set in the 1940s, giving it a unique noir atmosphere different from previous Batman adaptations.

The opening credits for Batman: Caped Crusader have been released, featuring key executive producers such as J.J. Abrams and Matt Reeves. The voice cast includes Hamish Linklater as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Christina Ricci as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, and other talented actors bringing the characters to life. This series marks one of the first Batman projects since the passing of Kevin Conroy, who voiced the character for many years.

The art style of Batman: Caped Crusader is a departure from previous Batman cartoons but still feels like a natural progression. The series aims to establish a dark and gritty mood, fitting for the noir setting of 1940s Gotham City. Fans can expect a fresh take on the iconic character and his world when the series premieres on August 1st on Prime Video.
