Star Wars Outlaws is a highly anticipated AAA video game set to be released in 2024 by Ubisoft. Even though the game has not been launched yet, Ubisoft has already unveiled a roadmap outlining the upcoming content for this open-world action game. The game follows the story of Kay Vess, a scoundrel attempting to execute one final major heist while evading the empire. However, due to its open-world nature, players will have the opportunity to engage in various activities beyond the main campaign.
Recently, Ubisoft disclosed more details about the season pass content for Star Wars Outlaws. Previously, it was known that there would be two different story packs, but now, the roadmap provides specific release dates and titles for these packs. The first DLC story pack, titled “Wild Card,” is scheduled for release in Fall 2024. This pack will introduce Lando Calrissian, a notorious gambler, into the game as Kay infiltrates a high-stakes Sabacc tournament.
In Spring 2025, players with the season pass will gain access to the second DLC named “A Pirate’s Fortune.” This expansion will feature Hondo Ohnaka, a beloved pirate character from the Clone Wars animated series. Ubisoft described this DLC as an encounter between Kay and the veteran pirate Hondo Ohnaka as they seek to settle old scores with a ruthless gang of pirates. Both story pack DLCs will be available for individual purchase or as part of the season pass, catering to different player preferences.
Additionally, the roadmap reveals that cosmetic packs will be introduced to Star Wars Outlaws following its launch. Season pass holders will receive two cosmetic packs alongside the release of the first story pack, offering new skins for Kay, her companion Nix, her speeder, and her ship the Trailblazer. Moreover, season pass owners will also receive an exclusive character pack including outfits for Kay and Nix at launch, along with a mission featuring Jabba the Hutt.
The season pass is included in the $110 and $130 versions of Star Wars Outlaws, which grant players early access to the game on August 27, three days before the official launch on August 30. While pre-orders are available, it is advisable to wait for reviews before making a purchase decision. Star Wars Outlaws will be accessible on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms upon its release.
