Netflix recently dropped a teaser trailer for the highly anticipated Season 2 of Arcane, the popular animated series based in the League of Legends world. The premiere is scheduled for November, and the creators of the show, Christian Linke and Alex Yee, have confirmed that this upcoming season will be the final one.
Season 2 is being promoted as “the final chapter” and will focus on Jinx’s assault on the Council, a pivotal event in the intensifying conflict between Piltover and Zaun. Hailee Steinfeld, who voices Vi, and Ella Purnell, who plays Jinx, will be returning for Season 2. Although Arcane will be coming to a close, Christian Linke assured fans during a recent League of Legends dev update that there are more animated tales in the works based on the franchise.
According to Linke, Arcane serves as the starting point for a broader storytelling adventure and collaboration with the talented animation studio, Fortiche. “From the very beginning, as we embarked on this project, we had a clear endpoint in sight, which means that the story of Arcane will wrap up with this second season. However, Arcane is just the initial story among many that we aim to share in Runeterra,” stated Linke.
