In 2015, Sony and Supermassive Games released the interactive horror game Until Dawn, which drew inspiration from classic horror films. The game was a hit, leading to a remake for PlayStation 5 and PC, as well as the announcement of an Until Dawn feature film earlier this year. The movie is now in production, and the first members of the cast have been revealed. According to Deadline, Ella Rubin, Michael Cimino, Ji-young Yoo, and Odessa A’zion have been chosen for roles in Until Dawn. While their specific characters have not been disclosed, fans are eager to see how they will bring the story to life on the big screen.

The original game featured a star-studded cast including Rami Malek, Hayden Panettiere, and Brett Dalton. It is unclear whether any of the original game cast will make appearances in the movie. Rubin, known for her work in The Idea of You on Prime Video, will be joined by Cimino, who stars in the upcoming series Motorheads on Prime Video. Yoo and A’zion also have recent roles on Prime Video in Expats and Sitting in Bars With Cakes, respectively.

In the game, a group of friends gathers on a remote mountain a year after two of their friends vanished. As they try to move on emotionally, they encounter strange occurrences and supernatural forces. The players’ choices throughout the game determine the fate of the characters, with some surviving and others meeting a grim end.

The film adaptation of Until Dawn will be directed by David F. Sandberg, with a script by Gary Dauberman. Blair Butler, a former G4 host turned screenwriter, penned an earlier version of the script. Sony Pictures has not yet announced a release date for the Until Dawn movie, but fans are eagerly anticipating its arrival.
