Pokémon TCG Pocket recently introduced a new event called the Venusaur Drop Event, which has generated a lot of excitement among players. This event features player vs. CPU battles where participants face off against increasingly powerful decks based on Venusaur, the OG grass-type starter’s final evolution. By defeating these opponents, players can earn various rewards, with additional bonuses available for completing specific missions.

Similar to the previous Lapras Drop Event, the Venusaur event is hindered by the use of “Event Stamina (Solo)” hourglasses, which limit the number of battles players can participate in. However, this time around, the event is more generous in terms of the prizes offered. Players can receive Pack Hourglasses, Wonder Stamina, Shinedust, Shop Tickets, and more Event Hourglasses, allowing them to continue playing and earning rewards. Additionally, players have a better chance of obtaining packs from the new Promo Pack A Series Vol. 2, which includes stamped promo cards like the new Venusaur full-art card illustrated by Kuroimori.

Completing the initial run through all four levels of the event is relatively straightforward. While the Venusaur decks may not be meta-defining, they provide players with 20 Pack Hourglasses, giving them extra opportunities to open packs and collect one-card promo packs. Players can continue to replay the tiers, completing tasks such as making opponents’ Pokémon fall asleep or winning battles within a certain number of turns to earn Wonder Stamina and Event Hourglasses. The event will run until December 13, giving players ample time to participate and earn rewards.

The promo packs available during the Venusaur event contain five unique cards with artwork that has not been featured in Pokémon TCG Pocket before. These cards include Haunter, Jigglypuff, Onix, Greninja, and the impressive Venusaur. However, some players have expressed disappointment with the design of the Venusaur card, as it is partially obscured by a large blue box on the image.

Overall, the Venusaur Drop Event in Pokémon TCG Pocket has introduced an exciting new element to the game, offering players the opportunity to battle, earn rewards, and collect exclusive cards. With a variety of prizes available and engaging gameplay mechanics, this event is sure to keep players entertained and challenged until its conclusion in December.
