Vampire Survivors, a game inspired by Castlevania, is set to release its Ode to Castlevania DLC on Halloween. This DLC will bring characters and weapons from the popular Konami franchise to the roguelite game. The expansion will include 20 characters, such as Simon and Richter Belmont, over 40 new weapons (including eight whips), more than 30 music tracks from the original Castlevania games, and the biggest map in Vampire Survivors history – Dracula’s castle.

The Ode to Castlevania DLC was announced during Konami’s Castlevania Fest and will be available on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, PlayStation 5/4, and mobile for $4 starting October 31st. This expansion follows a previous crossover with Contra-themed expansion called Operation Guns, but it’s the first DLC release since Vampire Survivors became available on all platforms.

Vampire Survivors, known for its retro arcade style and clever roguelite gameplay, has gained popularity since its release on PC two years ago. The base game remains affordable at $4, making it accessible for players on multiple platforms. With the Castlevania update coming just in time for Halloween, many fans are excited to dive back into the game for a spooky gaming experience.

In the future, Vampire Survivors may see more crossovers and expansions, similar to PowerWash Simulator. As a fan of the game, I’m looking forward to seeing what other collaborations and updates may be in store. As Halloween approaches, I may even sneak in a few rounds of Vampire Survivors while my kids are out trick-or-treating, immersing myself in the spooky atmosphere of the game.
