On October 9, Saber Interactive dropped a new trailer for A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead, unveiling an optional feature known as “Microphone Noise Detection.” This feature, as described by the publisher in a press release, allows the game’s dangerous creatures to detect any sound you produce in real life when your microphone is activated, intensifying the horror experience by bringing it right into your surroundings. The new live-action trailer titled “Survive in Silence” provides a sneak peek into the game, showcasing the suspense of being betrayed by any noise you make.
Playing the game with this feature turned on means that even small noises like a ringing phone or a sneeze can attract the attention of a hostile alien monster, potentially resulting in the death of your in-game character.
